CARRERA Y CARRERA
“CABALOS” Ref. 116 — Equestrian Collection
Another legendary piece of Spanish jewelry artistry, brought to the wrist by Carrera y Carrera.
Founded in Madrid, Spain, in 1885, Carrera y Carrera rose to international prominence in the 1970s. The house became renowned for its distinctive figurative sculptural designs, transforming precious metals into expressive representations of animals, nature, and human forms.
The brand has been recognized as one of the world’s most important jewelry families and was even honored to create a bridal crown for the Belgian royal family in 1960.
This timepiece comes from the “Equestrian” Collection — Ref. 116, featuring one of the house’s most recognizable motifs. The case is surrounded by four intricately sculpted horse heads, facing inward with remarkable movement and character. Even the crown is sculpted in the form of a horse holding a stem, complemented by a fleur-de-lis motif at the strap attachment.
A true example of jewelry-house craftsmanship, reflecting the artistic identity that made Carrera y Carrera distinctive.
